ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Venture into the best wildlife sanctuary in Namibia. Spanning a vast expanse in northern Namibia, Etosha National Park is a mesmerising destination that is teeming with incredible wildlife.
One of the largest parks on the continent, it derives its name from Etosha Pan, a large endorheic salt pan which covers almost a quarter of the park.
Dotted across the landscape, the various waterholes are the best places to spot wildlife. The waterholes attract animals of all shapes and sizes, including the iconic Big Five, huge herds of gazelle and antelope, and a large enough variety of birds to spot a different species every day for almost a year. The pan is also a breeding ground for flamingos and at times has supported flamboyances of up to a million at a time!
Between the large camel thorn trees and Mopani trees, visitors will discover a wide variety of accommodation, as well as a selection of restaurants, shops, swimming pools, and refuelling stations. Whether you want to rough it and get your hands dirty, or kick back in luxury and enjoy every indulgence, Etosha will accommodate you with ease.
